From the Bangor Daily News
A 15-year-old boy charged with downloading child pornography is apparently the first juvenile in the city to be charged with a sexual cybercrime.
Bangor Police Department officers confiscated the boy’s home computer on Dec. 20 after learning that it contained child porn. He was summoned on Jan. 19.
Police said this week that they have collected enough computer evidence to charge him with felony possession of sexually explicit materials.
They would not release his identity.
Lt. Tim Reid, who heads the Police Department's detective division, said investigators found an undisclosed number of explicit images of children on the computer and that the boy appears to be the first juvenile in Bangor
